About Me

Hi, my name is Jaime, and semi-professional crafter by trade. When I say semi-professional, I mean I design my own jewelry line, make handmade greeting cards, and do a lot of craft shows, markets, bazaars, etc. I was featured in a 2012 issue of Gladys Fashion Magazine, for some of my Steampunk designs.  I have always loved going to antique stores and just looking at past jewelry creations, and having rooted through my grandmother’s jewelry box as a child, I think that steered me in the direction.  I personally get my inspiration from the past, starting with medieval designs and commencing up to Edwardian and Victorian designs.  I am also starting to delve into the steampunk realm, and incorporate a lot of gears and propellers into some of my designs.  My most favorite pieces to design are my Steampunk Rings, Pocket Watches, and Fairy Flower Earrings (most which are inspired by the wonderful Cicely Mary Barker’s Flower Fairy artwork and poems, although I have made few up myself . . .)

The Shes-A-Belle name was born the day my daughter was born.  My then 3 year old niece at the time could not say Isabelle, and kept calling her “Shes-A-Belle.”  Since then, my father in law has nicknamed her “Shes-A-Belle.”  I found it a fitting name for my jewelry line, and thus, Shes-A-Belle Jewelry Designs was born.

I’m just looking for recognition right now, and want to get my name out there as much as I can, and just seeing anyone wearing my designs is enough for now 🙂 I am always trying to come up with new ideas, and expand on my existing ideas.
